Migrant Crisis
The migrant crisis has recently started to gain traction after Elon Musk began posting live videos from the Eagle Pass border. News outlets from all over are covering the topic aggressively as the situation continues to spiral out of control, with now New York seeing an influx of migrants along with Illinois whom both have come under pressure and are calling for a government intervention to help aid in the border crisis and recent influx of migrants that they have seen. Just today, the Illinois governor, JB Pritzker, sent a letter to Biden on the current situation pictured below.
Former president Bill Clinton has specifically stepped in on the matters in terms of New York and stated that he opposes New York as a "sanctuary city." It's ironic considering the Biden administration started the open southern border policy just two years ago, and the tides have quickly turned against the Democrats as things have continued to escalate along with the recent coverage of the issues from Elon Musk himself raising awareness of the problems at Eagle Pass border. A quote from the live coverage at Eagle Pass border on the current situation: "We are getting about 2500 illegal people coming over a day, and we are sending zero illegal immigrants back." That is over 700,000 immigrants a year in that location alone near El Paso, while the border in total has been seeing an influx of nearly 11,000 migrants a day, totaling to a rough estimate of almost 2.6M processed migrants and roughly double that including processed and unprocessed migrants. All nationalities and no specific country have directly stood out regarding the incoming migrants, and it is an open border to all with all welcome. The situation continues to get worse, and the influx of migrants continues to go in the wrong direction and continues to spread to Chicago, New York, LA, Denver, etc…
